The article presents a list of tools, developed or in the process of development, used in programming systems in laboratories and departments of St. Petersburg State University. Both modern and the most frequently used translatorbuilding tools are considered. 30 years have passed since the situation was covered. Nevertheless, the reader will surely find this navigation scheme useful, which gives a key to studying the activities of various groups and teams in the field of programming both in Russia and abroad.
